How To Skip a Workout

Want to skip today's workout? Here's how

Written by GoranUpdated

Not feeling today's workout? On the Train tab, tap the "..." button in the top right of the Next workout card and choose Skip. That's it, there's nothing to confirm: the next workout in your plan takes its place right away.

Keep in mind you can't return to the previous workout once skipped.

Skip or regenerate?

The same menu offers Regenerate just above Skip, and they do different things:

  • Skip moves you on to the following workout in your plan.
  • Regenerate keeps the same muscles and builds the session again with different exercises.

If you like today's muscle groups but not today's exercises, Regenerate is the one you want. Regenerate does ask you to confirm.

Gravl Tip:

Let's say you download the app on a Friday and select the Push-Pull-Legs split. You don't want to start with Push because that's usually your Monday's workout? Simply use Skip to start with Pull or Legs instead.

Jumping further ahead

Skip always moves you one workout forward. If the session you actually want is later in the week, you don't have to skip repeatedly: swipe the card across to it and tap Start Workout. Gravl asks "Skip to this workout?" and, once you tap Skip and start workout, it skips whatever was next and starts the one you picked.
