Your iPhone and your Apple Watch must run versions of Gravl that work together. If the Gravl app on your watch is older than version 1.53, your iPhone shows the Update your watch app sheet. Update the watch app to keep your workouts in sync.
When the sheet appears
- Gravl shows the sheet once, when it finds that your watch app is out of date.
- While the watch app is out of date, the sheet also opens when you tap Send to watch during a workout. Your workout goes to the watch only after you update.
Update the watch app
- Open the App Store on your Apple Watch.
- Scroll down, then tap Account → Updates.
- Tap Update next to Gravl.
When the update is done, open Gravl on your watch. Then tap I’ve updated on your iPhone. Gravl checks the watch app again and closes the sheet if the version is correct.
To do it later, tap Not now.
If "I’ve updated" shows a message
- The update hasn’t reached your watch yet. Try again once it finishes. Your iPhone still sees the old watch app. Wait until the App Store on the watch finishes the update, then tap I’ve updated again.
- Open Gravl on your watch, then try again. Your iPhone could not reach the watch app. Open Gravl on the watch, keep it near your iPhone, then tap I’ve updated again.
Still stuck?
Make sure Bluetooth is on and your watch is connected to your iPhone. Then close Gravl on both devices and open it again, iPhone first. For more steps, see Gravl on Your Apple Watch.
