Use Gravl Macros from your AI app

Connect Claude, ChatGPT, Grok Bot or Muse to your Gravl account through the Model Context Protocol, then log food and check your calories and macros by chatting: describe a meal, ask what’s left for today, log your weight, see how your week went.

Connect

Add Gravl as a custom connector in your AI app with this server URL:

MCP server URL
https://mcp.gravl.ai/mcp

Claude

  1. Open Settings → Connectors and choose “Add custom connector”.
  2. Name it Gravl and paste the server URL.
  3. Choose Connect and sign in with your Gravl account.

ChatGPT

  1. Open Settings → Apps & Connectors → Advanced settings and turn on Developer mode.
  2. Choose Create, name it Gravl, paste the server URL and pick OAuth.
  3. Sign in with your Gravl account when ChatGPT asks.

Grok Bot

  1. Ask the bot: “Add a custom MCP server called Gravl at https://mcp.gravl.ai/mcp”.
  2. Check the URL and choose Add it.
  3. Choose Authorize on the connect card and sign in with your Gravl account.

Muse

  1. Ask Muse to add a custom connector for Gravl at https://mcp.gravl.ai/mcp.
  2. Open the sign-in link Muse sends and sign in with your Gravl account.

Other apps that support remote MCP servers with OAuth connect the same way.

You sign in on Gravl’s own page with your Gravl account — the same email and password, Google or Apple login you use in the Gravl Macros app. Connecting never creates an account, and the assistant only ever sees your own data.

If your account also uses Gravl Workouts, the same connector gives the assistant the workout tools too: see the Gravl MCP docs.

Try asking

  • “Log two slices of whole-wheat toast and a coffee with milk for breakfast.”
  • “How many calories do I have left today?”
  • “What did I eat yesterday?”
  • “Same breakfast as yesterday.”
  • “I weighed 81.5 kg this morning.”
  • “How did my calories go this week?”
  • “Delete the cookie I logged at 4 pm.”

What it can do

Search foods

Search the Gravl Macros catalog of generic and branded foods, with calories and macros per 100 g and their portions.

Log food

Add a food to your day with the portion you said, like “2 slices” or “a cup”, or in grams: from the catalog, your own foods or a saved meal. When nothing matches, log a quick estimate of calories and macros.

Fix or copy entries

Change an entry’s amount, time or day, copy meals to another day (“same breakfast as yesterday”), or delete an entry after you confirm which one.

Read your day

A day’s entries with time, portion, calories and macros, plus daily totals, your calorie and macro targets, and what’s left.

Your progress

Your targets and goal, how a week or a month went against them, and your weight trend and measurements.

Weight, measurements and water

Log a weigh-in, body measurements or water in the units you use, or set a new goal weight. One weigh-in a day, as in the app.

Routines and fasting days

Log or skip a day’s routine, and mark a day as a fast.

Add a food from its label

Add a packaged food the catalog doesn’t have from its nutrition label, then log it right away.

Everything logged through MCP shows up in the app automatically, with the day’s totals recalculated. Streaks, achievements and your expenditure estimate update the next time you open the app.

Security model

LayerWhat it does
Gravl sign-inYou sign in on Gravl’s own page, never inside the AI app. The AI app never sees your password.
Only your own dataEach connection is tied to the Gravl account you sign in with, and the assistant only sees that account’s data. Connecting never creates an account.
Limited actionsFood, weight, measurements, water, routines, fasting days, your own foods and your goal weight. It can’t change your Gravl Macros settings, programs, calorie and macro targets or recipes, and it deletes an entry only after you confirm which one.
DisconnectingTo disconnect, remove the Gravl connector in your AI app.
