1. Summary
Gravl Macros is a tracking tool. It estimates how much energy you burn and suggests calorie and macronutrient targets from the data you enter. It is not a medical service, it does not know your medical history, and nothing it shows you is a diagnosis or a treatment. If a decision about your health matters, take it with a qualified professional, not with an app.
2. This Disclaimer Is Binding
This disclaimer forms part of our Terms & Conditions and is legally binding. By using the App you confirm you have read and understood it.
3. What We Are Not
We are not a medical organisation, a clinic, or a provider of medical nutrition therapy. We do not employ your dietitian and we do not provide individual nutrition counselling. Using the App does not create a practitioner–patient relationship of any kind.
4. Limitations of the Guidance
4.1. How the Numbers Are Produced
Your targets are calculated by an algorithm from what you tell the App and what you log in it: your body data, your goal, the meals you record and how your weight moves over time. They are estimates derived from population-level formulas and from your own recorded trend — not measurements of your body.
The estimate improves as you log consistently, and degrades when the data is sparse or inconsistent. The App indicates when it does not have enough recent data to update its estimate. Treat a target as a starting point to observe, not as a prescription.
4.2. Accuracy of Food Data
Nutritional values come from public food databases, from labels reported by manufacturers, and from foods contributed by other users. When you log by photo or by voice, the food and the portion are identified automatically and are approximations.
Do not rely on the App for allergens or for any other information where being wrong could harm you. Check the product label.
5. When to Consult a Professional
Talk to a physician or a registered dietitian before you start, and at any point along the way, if any of these apply to you:
- you are pregnant or breastfeeding;
- you have a medical condition affected by diet — including diabetes, kidney or liver disease, a thyroid condition, a heart condition or a metabolic disorder;
- you take medication whose effect or dosage depends on what you eat;
- you have or have had an eating disorder, or a difficult relationship with food or with your body;
- you are recovering from surgery, illness or injury;
- you intend to lose or gain weight quickly, or to eat well below what the App suggests.
Do not disregard professional advice, or delay seeking it, because of something the App has shown you.
6. Who the App Is Not For
The App is for adults aged 18 or older. Its calculations assume an adult without conditions that alter energy requirements, and they become unreliable outside the range of bodies they were designed for.
6.1. Eating Disorders
Calorie tracking is not appropriate for everyone. For some people, recording every meal and watching a number reinforces harmful patterns rather than helping. If tracking makes you anxious, if you find yourself eating below your targets to feel in control, or if you have a history of disordered eating, please stop using the App and speak to a professional.
7. Your Responsibility
You decide what to eat. The App does not know about your injuries, your medication, your allergies or your medical history unless it is reflected in what you enter, and it cannot account for them. You are responsible for judging whether its suggestions are appropriate for you, and for stopping if they are not.
8. Accepting the Risks
Changing what you eat carries risk, and that risk is yours. By using the App you accept that you do so voluntarily and at your own discretion, and that we are not liable for outcomes arising from decisions you take based on what it shows you, within the limits set out in §11 of the Terms & Conditions.
9. Changes to This Disclaimer
We may update this disclaimer as the App changes. If we make a material change, we will inform you in an appropriate manner.
