When to use it
Sometimes you know the numbers and just want them in the diary: a restaurant that publishes its nutrition, a meal you've weighed a hundred times, a protein shake with the label memorized. Quick Add skips the database entirely.
Add the entry
Tap the add button and choose Quick Add. Give the entry a name and its calories — those two are all that's required. Protein, carbs, and fat are optional; if you fill them in, a hint shows roughly how many calories your macros add up to, so a typo stands out immediately. Calories are entered in whatever energy unit you use (kcal or kJ).
Pick the date and time it belongs to, then add it to your diary. Quick Add works offline — nothing about it needs a lookup.
Turn it into a real food later
A Quick Add entry is just numbers. If it's something you'll eat again, select the entry in your journal and choose Save to my foods — it becomes a proper custom food you can search, edit, and reuse with portions.
