What it changes
Normally a photo log ends on a review screen before anything is saved. Quick photo logging inverts that: you shoot, the sheet closes immediately, and the analysis runs while you get on with your meal. When it finishes cleanly, the meal is logged automatically — you'll see a small progress note while it works, then a "Meal added" toast with the result.
Turn it on under Profile → Quick logging → Quick photo logging ("Skip the review screen. Photos log instantly."). With it on, the add button's Photo shortcut opens the quick camera instead of the full flow.
The safety valves
Speed doesn't mean blind trust:
- Undo is right there. The "Meal added" toast carries an Undo button for a few seconds — one tap removes the whole meal.
- Doubt falls back to review. The meal auto-logs only when every detected food matched cleanly. If anything needs your eye, you land on the normal review screen instead, exactly as if quick mode were off.
- You can always edit after. An auto-logged meal is a regular journal entry — grouped as one card, expandable, correctable like anything else.
When things go sideways
No food in the frame, no connection, or an analysis hiccup each produce a clear toast with a Retry — and retrying is safe: the app cleans up any partial result before trying again, so nothing ever logs twice.
Who it's for
People who photograph most meals and mostly accept the estimates. If you tweak portions on every log, the standard review flow is your flow — quick mode just moves the same edit one step later.
