How search is organized
Tap the add button and choose Search. Results are grouped into three tabs:
- All — the full database, split into From history (things you've logged before), Common (generic foods with curated nutrition data), and Branded (packaged products).
- My Foods — your saved meals, your own custom foods, and catalog foods you've bookmarked.
- My Recipes — recipes you've created.
Before you type anything, the screen suggests your go-tos for this time of day — foods you tend to log around the current hour — plus your latest foods, so a routine meal is usually one tap away.
Searching
Type at least a couple of characters. Matches from your own foods appear instantly; the full database fills in right after. Searching the full catalog needs a connection — your history and saved foods still match offline.
From a result to your diary
Tap a result to open its detail: pick the amount and unit, then log it directly or add it to the plate. The plate lets you stack several foods — after each add, the search box clears so you can type the next one, and a counter on the confirm button tracks what's on the plate. Confirm once to log everything together.
If you can't find it
No results? You can create the food yourself — the name you typed is carried into the custom-food editor. Packaged products are often easier to find by scanning their barcode instead.
