What you'll enter
Setup collects what the math genuinely needs:
- Body data — sex, birthdate, height, weight, and a body-fat estimate picked from visual examples (no caliper required; your lean mass is what the calculations run on). If you allow Health access, some fields prefill.
- Activity — your daily movement outside exercise, how often you train, and your cardio background.
- Goal — lose, maintain, or gain; a target weight; and your pace, chosen on a slider and labeled from conservative to aggressive so you know what you're signing up for.
Recommended or custom
At the plan step you choose how much to decide yourself. Recommended applies sensible defaults and keeps setup short. Custom opens the full set: diet style, protein preference, calorie floor, and how calories distribute across your week — every one of them changeable later, so there's no wrong door.
The expenditure check
Setup shows its estimate of your daily burn and asks a question most apps skip: does this look right? Confirm it, adjust it if you know better from experience, or answer "not sure" — which deliberately starts you slightly conservative. Whatever you pick is just the starting point; the algorithm refines it from your real data.
The plan, and one practical note
You end with your daily calories, macro split, hydration and fiber guides, and — for weight loss — how refeeds fit in. Review it, then create your account to save it: setup answers live only in the session until then, so finishing in one sitting avoids re-entering them.
