Body Measurements

Eleven metrics beyond the scale — because a tape measure sees what weight can't.

What you can track

Body fat percentage plus ten circumferences: neck, shoulders, chest, biceps, forearms, waist, abdomen, glutes, thighs, and calves. The scale can stall while your waist shrinks and your shoulders grow — measurements catch the recomposition weight alone would miss.

Only body fat and waist show by default; the Body Metrics settings let you show exactly the set you care about and hide the rest. Hidden metrics keep their history — hiding is display, not deletion.

Logging

Log everything at once with the full-body flow, or one metric on its own when that's all you measured. Measurements keep one value per metric per day — logging again the same day updates it — and an entry can carry a note for the context future-you will want ("post-vacation", "new tape measure").

For readings that compare well over time: measure relaxed rather than flexed, at consistent spots, at a consistent time of day. The trend across weeks is the signal; a single reading is just a data point.

One measurement does extra work

Body fat isn't only tracked — it updates your profile. Your lean mass drives your protein target and the baseline of your expenditure estimate, so an up-to-date body-fat number keeps the whole calculation honest. With health sync on, it's also written to your health app.

Watching progress

Each metric gets its own chart and history, and the compare view puts two dates side by side. Like your weight, measurements are shared with Gravl Workouts — one body, one dataset.
