Metric Details and Contributors

Every tracked metric has a screen — the chart, the history, and which foods are actually responsible.

The metric screen

Tap any macro or nutrition card in Insights and you get the same well-equipped screen:

  • The chart, over a selectable period (a week by default, up to all time). Touch it to inspect any single day. When the metric carries a nutrient goal, the chart draws the target line and shades the floor-to-ceiling range, so "was I in range?" is visible at a glance.
  • An About card — a short explanation of what this nutrient is and why it's tracked, unique per metric.
  • Top Contributors — the star of the screen (below).
  • History — recent days with a hit/miss tick against the target; Show all opens the complete history, and any day opens its detail.

For goal-bearing metrics, a Goals button in the header jumps straight to that nutrient's goal editor.

Top Contributors

Wondering where the sodium came from? Top Contributors answers it: pick a day and see the foods that contributed most to that metric, ranked. It turns an abstract line on a chart into a concrete decision — the soup, it turns out, was the sodium.

Tapping through opens the day's full contributor breakdown, the same screen any history row leads to.

A reading tip

Day-to-day nutrition numbers are jagged by nature — one restaurant meal spikes sodium, one fruit-heavy day spikes sugar. The period averages and the trend across weeks are where the signal lives; the contributors are where you act on it.
