Logging water
The fastest path is the add button: with Quick water logging on (Profile → Quick logging), the button grows a water row — two presets (+250 ml / +500 ml, or +8 / +16 fl oz in imperial) and a Custom option for any amount. Every tap confirms with an Undo, so a double-tap is harmless.
Water can also be logged from its own screen — Insights → Water has the same presets and custom entry, plus your recent entries with the option to delete any of them.
Water lives alongside your food rather than in it: entries don't appear in the food journal, and — worth saying plainly — water never affects your calories or your expenditure. It's tracked for its own sake.
Your daily target
By default the target is automatic: scaled to your body weight and activity, and shown with an "Auto" chip. If you prefer your own number — a coach's prescription, a personal rule — edit the Daily target card on the Water screen and it switches to Custom; Reset to auto brings the formula back any time. (No weigh-ins yet? The target shows as "—" until your weight exists to scale from.)
Where you see it
- Dashboard — with quick water on, a water card shows today's total against the target and a Monday-to-Sunday rail of the current week.
- Insights — water is one of the nutrition metrics: today's amount on the overview, and its own screen with the chart, history, and target.
If you don't track water
Turn the quick-water toggle off and the water row leaves the add button; hide the metric from the Insights settings and it leaves the overview too. Nothing else in the app depends on it.
