Connected Apps: Apple Health, Health Connect and Strava

Sync Gravl with the rest of your fitness world and let your runs, rides and classes count towards your recovery! 🔄

Aktualizováno

Your training doesn't only happen inside Gravl - and it doesn't have to stay siloed. Connect your health apps and Gravl will sync workouts both ways and factor everything into your muscle recovery.

You'll find all connections in Profile - Connected Apps:

  • Apple Health (iPhone): sync workouts and active energy between Gravl and Health.
  • Health Connect (Android): same deal, Android edition. 🤝
  • Strava: push your finished Gravl workouts to your Strava feed, so your followers see the grind too. 🏃
  • Garmin Watch, Apple Watch and Wear OS: for training from your wrist, check out Gravl on your watch.

IMPORT YOUR EXTERNAL WORKOUTS 📥

Went for a run, a ride or a swim tracked by another app? Once Apple Health or Health Connect is connected, Gravl detects those activities automatically and offers to import them.

You'll see a preview with the key stats - distance, duration, energy, average heart rate, pace, elevation and even the route map when available. Then comes the important part:

Rate your effort. This tells Gravl how hard the session really was, so it can update your muscle recovery accurately:

  • Low effort: about 1 day of recovery.
  • Moderate effort: usually 1-2 days.
  • Hard effort: 2-3 days for full recovery.

Tap Import Workout to add it to your history, or Skip if you'd rather leave it out.

💪🏾 Gravl Tip:

Be honest with the effort rating! It feeds directly into your recovery, which is what Gravl uses to decide which muscles are ready to train. An "easy" 20k trail run will come back to haunt your leg day. 😅

CONTROL WHAT COUNTS ⚙️

Prefer to keep imported activities out of your recovery calculations? In Profile - Connected Apps - External Workouts you can control how imported activity and recovery sync behave.

GOOD TO KNOW 💡

  • Imported workouts show up in your history and feed like any other session.
  • Gravl only reads what you allow - you stay in control of permissions in the Health apps, and you can disconnect anytime.
