Log Your Weight

The thirty-second habit that powers your trend, your expenditure, and your check-ins.

Logging a weigh-in

Add a weigh-in from the add button's shortcut or from the Body Metrics tab — enter the number, adjust the date if you're logging yesterday's reading, done. Weights display in kilograms or pounds per your unit setting.

The best routine is a boring one: same scale, roughly the same time of day, ideally after waking. Consistency matters far more than frequency — though more frequent weigh-ins do make your trend more responsive.

Where weigh-ins come from

Your history collects every source in one place: entries you log here, readings imported from Apple Health or Health Connect (a smart scale, for instance), imported history, and weigh-ins from Gravl Workouts. If one day ends up with several values, the app keeps a single canonical one — an entry you typed yourself outranks any automatic import.

Editing and deleting

The weight history lists every entry; tap to correct one, swipe to delete (with an immediate Undo). If health sync is on, deleting an entry here also removes the reading the app had written to your health app — never readings that came from elsewhere.

Corrections ripple properly: your recent estimates recalculate from the fixed history.

What it powers

Every weigh-in feeds the trend weight, which feeds the expenditure algorithm and the weekly check-in. One number on a scale, three systems fed. A weekly reminder on your check-in day keeps the habit alive.
